Audio/Video Quality: Voracious Season 2: Volume 2 was presented in anamorphic widescreen as shot by director John Stagliano for Evil Angel. Unlike the first season that was released in a single boxed set after all the periodic episodes were released to fans, this second season shows Buttman releasing the DVD sets three or four episodes at a time, drawing out the show a bit for those of us that prefer a physical media release. I’ll be up front that I have avoided all media discussion about the episodes as they came out, my review below containing as few spoilers as possible to refrain from ruining the viewing experience for the rest of you. That said, the show is very dark thematically but also in terms of the way the episodes were lit, often just hints of light allowing the viewer to delve deeper into the sex and story elements which added replay value. There was a company watermark on the lower right hand corner of the screen during the show so it stood out compared to most company releases that are more traditionally lit. Still, a lot of thought went into the editing and framing of the scenes. No credits were provided for the crew yet but it was clearly a collaborative effort, the moody look of the show very well done. In the same sense, the aural components of the series were also well handled with a lot of care, the music and vocals blended in with appropriate ambient sounds to make it seem like a mainstream feature. There was precious little exposition this time but as I don’t intend on giving away major plot points, that makes it all the better.

Body of Review: John Stagliano is one of the recognized leaders of gonzo porn, his style of participating in action literally spawning generations of copycat directors over the years. John’s company, Evil Angel, is considered one of the biggest and brightest stars of the gonzo realm even now, years later, John focusing most of his talents on tease titles with minimal actual sexual contact these days. John’s upcoming volume of Voracious Season 2: Volume 2 (episodes 4 to 7) is a marked change from his usual material, a dark tale of vampires and sex continued. The whole sexy vampire porn angle is nothing new to the industry yet John took it to new heights (or depths) with his web-to-DVD show and later season set release awhile back, this sequel amounting to taking some of the characters on a new journey for fans to appreciate. Lea Lexis is back as is Rocco Siffredi, joined by former contract babe Stoya and ever popular James Deen to weave another tale of darkness and depravity. Most of Stoya’s feature work to date has been pretty tame and lightweight, the same holding true for the rest of the cast (more or less), John allowing them all to let loose a bit in a darker look at things.

Episode Four: Burn The Fucking Vampire: Lea Lexis, Sandra Romain, Clarke Kent, and Mugur started things out as the sexy female vampires decided the two male policeman were just what they needed in the night time, outdoor tryst. As expected, the ladies were in charge and rough on their minions, abusing each other to a degree as they sought to drain the guys of their precious bodily fluids. The lighting by police car headlights left something to be desired at times when it came to seeing the sexual encounter, the oral by all parties, vaginal and anal showing both ladies to be as active as possible in riding turgid peckers, the passion and enthusiasm driven by what came across as real needs being satisfied. The non-sex roles here included work by Mira, Cayenne Klein, Samantha Bentley, Rocco Siffredi, Thomas Stone, and Markus Dupree, the feature elements tied to Samantha’s quest to rid the area of her dreaded foes while Rocco was particularly prone to harm. The ladies finished off the men with some hand to gland friction, directing the semen from the guys on their bodies and into their mouths, the aural elements intensifying the pacing more than a little bit.

Episode Five: Enjoy Your Last Taste Of Cum: Cayenne Klein, a fetching young lady with an impressive ass and erect nipples, was up next hanging from some chains to be used by Markus Dupree and Thomas Stone. This was another oddly lit sequence of sexual depravity, the gal demanding they fuck her when they came across her during their investigation. Episode Six: You Will Cry Very Much!: Mira Sunset, Samantha Bentley, and Rocco Siffredi were up next as the outcome of the encounter in the previous volume showed the enforcer to gain an upper hand, his need for satisfying his own recent attack pushing him to liger as he savored the experience at their peril. Rocco made it clear that Samantha was going to last him awhile and not be granted a place in his ranks because of her antics, Mira joining in though not half as rough as Rocco. They caressed, kissed, bit nipples, and had some lesbian fun as Rocco took whatever he wanted from either of them, a lot of slapping and ass play leading to some suffocation tricks (which I do not care for at all), Rocco prolonging her agony before having her power suck his cock on her knees. He ate her ass and then fucked her as she gobbled gash on Mira, some rimming included too as the ladies learned to share his meaty member. The anal sex drained him but the sperm flew forth thanks to Samantha’s efforts at the end of the tryst, jerking him off all over her upper torso and face. The non-sex roles were Lea Lexis and Stoya this time, limited roles here but important in the context of the season as a whole.

Episode Seven: I Told You You’d Get Us In Trouble: Chastity Lynn, a kinky blond extreme queen, was up next in the last scene as she fell back into sin courtesy of sleazy Wolf Hudson, his efforts to use her status as a nun adding some kink to the food fetish and foot fetish twists added into the show, the erotic eating sequence of the four nuns (Ashley, Chastity, and Jessie standing out). Of interest was Christian Mann’s role too but the sexual elements showed Wolf preying on Chastity to get her performing online. Summary: Voracious Season 2: Volume 2 by director John Stagliano for Evil Angel was only four episodes of the follow up season but it already has left me wanting more, my preference for full season sets aside, it was a lot of strokable fun. The sex was steamy and intense, the vampire theme polished up really well to show the horny blood suckers at their most devious, and the technical aspects enhancing the final product enough to make this the latest “must have” for any vampire lovers out there. The thematic elements were expanded considerably this time, the first volume of the season laying out the premise fairly well. This show is not for the squeamish by any means but it already has earned a rating of Highly Recommended, the best is yet to come. In short, Voracious Season 2: Volume 2 was the next step in evolution for John Stagliano’s epic tale of vampires and intrigue, the kind of show becoming increasingly rare these days which makes it that much more appreciated, so turn down the lights and watch it with a friend, I suspect many of you will be pleasantly surprised when this is released at the end of the month.
